City girl in Savannah

It probably doesn’t come as a big surprise that I feel most comfortable in a big city. The sounds of the hustle and bustle, strangely enough, put me at ease. If I’m not driving, I tend to catch my best naps in traffic. Yet, I was incredibly excited to visit a charming Southern city like Savannah. I didn’t know how I would get acclimated to the humidity, but I was willing to brave through it to get to see such a beautiful city. I thoroughly enjoy visiting cities that are truly distinct from what I am used to seeing everyday. Especially cities that have so much beauty and history.

Normally when I travel, I tend to plan an outfit based on what I feel will work best in the town and that will go with the weather. I originally fell in love with this dress because it reminded me of the print of a Hoss Intropia bag (now just Intropia, I believe) that I purchased in Paris about 8 years ago. To this day that bag is still one of my favorite finds. Knowing that the South can be humid, I also wanted something that was going to flow…flow away from clinging to me in any way possible. If I was at the beach, I probably wouldn’t have worn a bralette underneath, but I was playing the role of a Southern (California) belle…in my mind. You also can’t go wrong with a blue and white print. It’s timeless, classic, and can be worn for many Summers to come. It may be hard to find as it’s sold out in most online shops, but what I did was stalk everyday until it was back in stock (I was also lucky enough to get it when it was on sale). You know you’ve succeeded in your outfit choice when an older, Southern gentleman stops you to tell you that you look quite lovely *blushes like a lady*.
