New Favorite Jeans

These jeans are so good they needed their own post. I’ve been asked more times than I can count where I find my jeans. I’d like to think they appreciate my taste in clothing, but I imagine at least one thought that is going through their mind is “how did she fit all that there into them jeans.” Finding a good pair of jeans, or pants, can be a difficult experience for anyone, but the level of difficulty increases a bit when you have the slightest of curves. With that said, imagine the excitement I felt with finding a pair of jeans that fit like a glove instantly. Usually I reserve the twirling for when I’m in a skirt or a dress, but these jeans were so great a twirl was in order. A pleasant surprise was that these Madewell jeans were recommended to me by my friend, who I share a lot of the same style vibes with, but we have completely different body shapes. When she said she purchased a pair of Madewell jeans and that she absolutely loved them, I thought “hmmm…I’ve never tried their jeans”…but then my second thought was “but you’re ‘flaca’, all jeans look fantastic on you.”

Madewell is a brand I absolutely adore. I love the classic simplicity of their items and how…well…well made they are. I have tons of their t-shirts, sweaters, a tote bag, earrings…I could go on. Needless to say, I love their stuff, but denim was something of theirs that I had yet to try. As I’ve mentioned before, I clear out my closet often. At the end of last Summer I got rid of a pair of white jeans, so I figured since I knew I needed a new pair of jeans in white, I may as well try the Madewell ones that my friend suggested. I’m glad that I followed her recommendation. Especially with these white jeans, as finding a good pair in white that isn’t showing every nook and cranny isn’t easy to come by. What I love most about these jeans is that not only do Madewell jeans look great on Flaca, but I think they’ll look great on many.

I’ve created two looks, both centered around a basic white tee and jeans – a “casual” date night look and a brunch look (or a casual weekend outfit). In terms of sizing, I normally wear a 31 or 32 depending on the brand, but sometimes white jeans can run smaller, so I bought these in a 32. I purchased a medium in the t-shirt, and the jacket is a large.
